Welcome to the Louisiana Fire & Emergency Training Academy Portal! 

PORTAL OVERVIEW

This public portal is part of our improved records management system to meet the training and certification needs of Louisiana firefighters.

• Who Should Register:
• Louisiana firefighters or industrial fire brigade members.
• Unaffiliated personnel need to register for an account, to request information Unaffiliated personnel must submit an "Unaffiliated Training Request".

Registration Process:

1. Retrieve your FEMA SID at FEMA SID Recovery.
• Avoid creating duplicate accounts, as this may delay registration.
2. If you do not have a FEMA SID, verify first, then go to FEMA SID Registration to create one.
3. Complete the Portal Account Request Form using a permanent email. Allow 7–10 business days for processing.
4. Once notified, log in to verify your FEMA SID and upload the confirmation email under "Academy Resources."

 Note: Obtaining your FEMA SID does not automatically create your Acadis account, you must complete step 3 above.

MISSING RECORDS

We will address missing records at our earlies oppurtunity unless there is an urgent need. Everyone should review their individual records in Acadis. If there are missing records utilize the “Record Review Request ” webform located under Academy Resources to forward the information we will need to track down the records. There is an upload inside that webform to submit copies of records you are asking us to look into. Each individual will need to do this for their own record for the information to attach properly. 

TRAINING COORDINATORS

If you are a Chief or Training Officer with an agency who currently registers students for classes or candidates for certification examination, you will need to complete this step. In the "Webforms" section, complete the "Request for Training Coordinator Permissions" webform. Once your account has been upgraded you will have access to all information and personnel records associated with your agency. Please allow 7-10 business days for processing. Additional Training will be delivered to familiarize you with your role and the functions of the Acadis system. 

We recommend each agency have two Training Coordinators.

ALL Certification Testing Requests must be made by Training Coordinators registered in this system. 

CERTIFICATION SKILL EVALUATOR 

All skill evaluators, including those currently administering skills, must attend one of the Certification Skill Evaluator Workshops listed in Acadis to remain skill evaluators.

Fire Departments may appoint anyone who meet the requirements below to fill the role of CSE. 

1. Certified Fire Service Instructor II
2. Hold the certification that you are going to test
3. Cannot participate in the training of the students you are testing
4. Chief must submit a request to make individual a CSE via email to fetacert@la.gov 

Certification Skill Evaluator training will take place in March and April of 2025. ALL Certification Skill Evaluators will need to attend one of the Spring 2025 workshops to maintain CSE status. Please check Available Training for dates and locations. (filter Program with "CSE")
