1006-12.2 (2021) Trench Rescue Operations
Full Description
The Trench Rescue Operations course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely perform rescue operations in trench environments. Students will learn to recognize and identify trench hazards, assess resource requirements, and implement appropriate scene safety measures. The course covers the construction and operation of straight-wall trench shoring systems for trenches up to 8 feet deep, as well as techniques for safely accessing, packaging, and removing a trapped subject. Students will also learn to support and assist technician-level trench rescue operations.
