1006-12.1 (2021) Trench Rescue Awareness
Full Description
The Trench Rescue Awareness course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize trench rescue incidents, identify potential hazards, and determine the need for scene-specific support resources. Students will learn how to initiate appropriate scene isolation procedures, organize and request additional resources, and understand the fundamentals of search considerations during trench rescue incidents. The course also introduces ground support functions for Operations- and Technician-level rescue activities, patient triage considerations, and the role of assisting a technical rescue team during trench stabilization and shoring operations.
