8 Hour Common Passenger Vehicle Rescue-Awareness Level
Full Description
The Common Passenger Vehicle Rescue Awareness course is designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge required to safely recognize, assess, and support passenger vehicle rescue incidents. Participants will learn to identify the need for incident-specific support resources, coordinate those resources effectively, and recognize hazards associated with passenger vehicle emergencies to initiate appropriate scene isolation procedures.

The course introduces the proper selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and equipment commonly utilized during passenger vehicle rescue operations. Students will also gain an understanding of ground support responsibilities during Operations- and Technician-level rescue incidents, including patient triage considerations and methods for assisting technical rescue teams during vehicle stabilization, access, and extrication operations.
