Only students who successfully complete this program will be eligible for certification testing.

DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING
The Rope Rescue Awareness course is designed to teach students to recognize the need for scene-specific support resources, how to organize those resources, and how to recognize incident hazards to help initiate isolation procedures. Students will learn how to initiate a search concerning rope rescue, whether at a high or low angle. Students will learn about ground support for operation and technician-level activities, triage, and assisting a technical rope rescue team in operating mechanical advantage systems.
