12 Hour Emergency Medical Responder Refresher
Full Description
This course is required for those students who wish to maintain their First Responder certification. The Louisiana Bureau of EMS has updated course content to reflect the current changes. Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory, and students are required to successfully complete a practical and written examination.

Prerequisites
Basic Life Support (BLS), either BLS for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association or Professional Rescuer BLS by the American Red Cross is a prerequisite. The student must be verified at the provider level prior to entering the course. BLS as a co-requisite (obtaining BLS certification during the course) is no longer acceptable.
