Full Description: FETA offers Paramedic Refresher courses in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Louisiana Bureau of EMS and the National Registry of EMTs. This class meets NREMT (La.) re-certification requirements for NATIONAL CONTENT 30 Hours.

Note: Additional Local and Individual content required. Hours must be completed for re-certification purposes.

Attendance at all sessions is mandatory. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate from FETA. Course documentation is kept on file at FETA.

Additional Information: CPR re-certification and ACLS re-certification is not offered or covered by this course.

Prerequisites: Must hold a current NREMT Card
Basic Life Support (BLS), either BLS for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association or Professional Rescuer BLS by the American Red Cross is a prerequisite. The student must be verified at the provider level prior to entering the course. BLS as a co-requisite (obtaining BLS certification during the course) is no longer acceptable.

Resources Required: Prerequisite(s):

Be currently nationally registered, & licensed Paramedic by the State of Louisiana, or have lapsed no more than two years from the National Registration expiration date.
Meet any additional requirements imposed by the Louisiana Office of Hospitals, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.
Proof of health insurance is required.
