Full Description
The Rope Rescue Awareness course is designed to teach students to recognize the need for scene-specific support resources, how to organize those resources, and to recognize incident hazards to help initiate isolation procedures. Students will learn how to initiate a search with respect to rope rescue, whether high or low angle. Students will learn about ground support for operation and technician-level activities, triage, and assisting a technical rope rescue team in the operation of mechanical advantage systems.

Resources Required
Students must bring gloves, notebook and writing materials. Students must also provide their own books. The book required for this course is Jones and Bartlett Rope Rescue Principles and Practices 5th Edition, ISBN: 978-1-284-19510-1. If students have any questions, please contact Thomas Townsend, Rescue Manager.

Students must report to Pine Country Classroom at 0800.
